Rock Power Connections secures new contract with Western Power Distribution
Rock Power Connections is delighted to have secured another new long-term contract with Western Power Distribution (WPD), West Midlands.
The new three-year contract commenced on 1st January 2021 and builds on the major project frameworks for 132KV and 33KV primary substation installations, which the Rock Team have worked on over the past six years.
Kev Sankar, Director of Rock Power Connections, confirmed: “This is a testament to the multi-skilled workforce we have that we are able to secure contracts like this and work on both sides of the meter.
We are pleased that WPD have once again trusted us to assist them in meeting their regulatory obligations. Despite the challenges of 2020, WPD have been excellent in supporting their supply chain to assist them in delivering continuity of supply and building new assets, in addition to the connections of green technologies”.
Delivering electricity to over 7.9 million customers across the Midlands, South West and Wales, WPD will be supported by the Rock Team through the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuits under this new contract, which spans three project frameworks.
Under this new Electrical Installation and Testing Framework, Rock Power Connections are supporting WPD with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuits. This is often associated with alterations to the service position as a result of changes to WPD equipment, installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers or where damage has occurred.
Rock Power Connections will also provide a broader level of support to WPD in order to further strengthen the working partnership between the two organisations.
