CASE STUDY - Progressive House


The Rock Team has finalised the installation of an electrical connection to a new office block conversion, located in Sidcup.


‘Progressive House’, which offers luxury one, two and three bedroom apartments within close proximity to Sidcup High Street, comprises of thirty-six units, which all benefit from the latest Smart technology, including entry system, heating, lighting and parcel collection.

The client needed the new supply to go live and the disconnection of the existing UKPN supply to the building simultaneously. They had restricted space on site to install the BNO network.


THE SOLUTION

  • We installed a 45 way Lucy MSDB to supply 36 single phase cut outs and 1 three phase cut out.

  • We excavated the POC on the road opposite the site boundary, excavated and installed to UKPN spec the new LV cable up to the site boundary.

  • We installed a 2 way Link Box completing all jointing works and testing.


Our Project Manager, Sayer Emrich, said: “We faced a few setbacks during this install, especially as the site was closed down to comply with COVID restrictions at the start of the pandemic.


“We also faced restrictions on the space for the BNO network install, which further added to the complexity of the install. Despite this, we managed to mobilise and complete both the energisation and disconnection on time, ensuring the site was not left without power."
