CASE STUDY: UNDERGROUND UTILITY SURVEY AT A BROWNFIELD SITE
August 28, 2020
A PAS 123 underground utility survey was required on a major brownfield development in an urban area of Oldham.
There are possible redevelopment plans for the site to either commercial or residential use and the client was keen to identify development risk and minimise delays during application and disposal process
It is a large site – 12.3 hectares in total – and work needed to be carried out with all roads remaining open.
Our client required a very fast delivery of all results.
Rock Surveying deployed multiple teams to ensure that the work was carried out as swiftly as possible to cause minimal disruption.
We were able to provide deliverables within the client’s timescale including full 2D and 3D models of the area.
Rock Surveying exceeded client expectations with the speed of delivery.
Senior Utility Surveyor, Darryl Hall commented: “Our teams worked well together to complete the survey in a safe and professional manner and were able to exceed the client’s expectations and secure further work as a result.”
