CASE STUDY: TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY OF HINCKLEY POINT B POWER STATION
Hinkley Point B is a nuclear power station near Bridgwater in Somerset. Our client requested a topographical survey to enable demolition works.

Some of the areas to be surveyed were within a very high-risk, restricted zone. Rock Surveying undertook additional site-specific training to ensure the upmost safety levels.
Due to the client having a strict time constraint, the Rock Surveying team had to maximise efficiency on site.
OUR SOLUTION
As the site was very high-risk, Rock Surveying had to keep constant communication with the client allowing their works to progress with minimum impact on our data collection.
To ensure the most efficient completion of the survey, Rock Surveying deployed multiple teams to work within our permits.
Tony Onyeogo, Survey Manager commented: “This was a very challenging survey with lots of constraints considering the high-risk nature of the power station. The Rock Surveying team liaised and communicated accordingly to achieve success.”
