ROCK POWER CONNECTIONS BECOMES ACCREDITED INSTALLER FOR ROLEC EV
March 27, 2020
Rock Power Connections is delighted to announce it has secured an official accreditation to install Rolec Electrical Vehicle [EV] charging points.
One of the world’s leading specialists in outdoor electrical equipment, Rolec EV is a division of Rolec Services, which specialises in the design and manufacture of a comprehensive range of EV charging solutions.
In securing the official Rolec accreditation, Rock Power Connections can now install a range of fast and rapid chargers to meet the demands of businesses and their customers. By offering a range of 7kW, 11kW and 22kW EV chargers – either as single or double-headed sockets, the Rock Team can identify the best combination that fits within a company’s available electrical capacity.
For larger installations, or for companies with restricted spare capacity, Rock Power Connections can design and install a new connection from the distribution network making it a hassle-free process. On new build developments which have EV charging points as a condition of the planning permission, the Rock Team can offer a solution alongside the electrical connection works.
In addition, Rock Power Connections is accredited on the OLEV workplace charging scheme, which provides financial support at £500 a socket for up to 20 sockets. This is a welcome incentive for businesses looking to install work place chargers for their employees or electrify their work fleet.
By working closely with Rolec, Rock Power Connections aim to become the ‘go to’ EV charging installation and infrastructure partner across the region.
Emma Chetwynd Jarvis, Electrical Connections Manager for Rock Power Connections, confirmed: “Rock Power Connections is delighted to have become an accredited installer of Rolec EV, particularly as this enables us to supply our customers with the very latest in EV charging technology.”
“Demand for EV charging points is increasing at a rapid pace, as companies make the switch from petrol and diesel to electric vehicles. By working closely with Rolec, we will be able to keep pace with this increasing demand, whilst making the process as seamless as possible, by liaising with the Distribution Network Operator [DNO] to obtain a Point of Connection and in designing a solution that meets individual needs.”
Founded in 2012, Rock Power Connections has quickly become one of the UK’s leading Independent Connections Providers, specialising in the design and installation of new and upgraded electricity connections to business, industrial and commercial properties.
Having achieved ‘Small Business of the Year’ at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Awards 2019, the family-run organisation aims to increase its market share within the EV Charing space, whilst helping as many businesses and organisations make the switch to EV.
