One of the UK’s fastest growing Independent Connections Providers (ICP), Rock Power Connections, is excited to announce the launch of Rock Surveying: A new dedicated Utilities Mapping service.

Founded by Reece James, Kev Sankar and Matt Crampton in 2012, Rock Power Connections has grown from a start-up into a multi-million-pound turnover firm in just 5 years; specialising in the design and installation of new and upgraded electricity connections to commercial and industrial properties throughout the UK.
The launch of Rock Surveying is a natural, strategic move for the innovative firm, who, through their work on the distribution network, are experienced in identifying the routing, type and depth of buried services.
As a result, its new utilities mapping service will allow for greater confidence during construction, improving safety and assisting project management timescales through the creation of accurate GRP Geophysical and Topographical surveys.
Operations Director, Reece, explained: “The expansion and diversification of the Utilities Sector has led to an increased difficulty in assessing accurate, current and unambiguous utility asset information. The creation of quality, underground utility surveys quickly overcomes this difficulty, offering risk aversion to those engaged in design, construction and asset maintenance.”
“Kev, Matt and I are, therefore, extremely excited about the launch of Rock Surveying and the significant benefits this will bring to construction firms and commercial property developers throughout the West Midlands and across the UK.”
With its Head Office based in Worcester, the new Rock Surveying service is led by a team of experienced surveyors, who specialise in the development of quality Utility Mapping reports to guide safe and accurate construction decisions.
A family run business, passionate about industry leading customer service and staff development, Rock Surveying is the latest side project to be announced by the Rock Power Connections team, following the launch of specialist energy storage sister firm, Rock Clean Energy, in March 2017.
