Lee's tackling the Guinness World Record

Switching contestable connections for the World's largest UNCONTESTED SCRUM, Health & Safety Advisor Lee Hayman is tackling the record books this weekend.

The Rock Team scrum down : Lee (center) gets a final practice in with Hubaib, Sharon, Jenny and Jason.

Attempting to get into the Guinness Book of Records, Lee is helping to organise a record attempt for the largest uncontested scrum at Holland Sports Club in Barton Under Needlewood.

Lee explained “We desperately need people to pitch in. The latest record was only set last weekend in Cardiff for a scrum of 1,297 players. That's what we need to beat.

"But we need people. Anyone is welcome - you don't need to be a rugby player - there will be no mud or rough play involved. It'll be a friendly event with a great atmosphere and a chance for you to be a World Record Holder!"

The record attempt is to raise money for charity for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Holland Sports Club.

When: Saturday 10th September

Time: 10am meet for 11am scrum down

Where: Holland Sports Club, Barton Under Needlewood
