High energy as Rock is named finalist for "Small Business of the Year" award
Rock Power Connections is celebrating after being announced as a finalist for “Small Business of the Year” in the Hereford & Worcester Chamber of Commerce Awards.

Established in 2012 by three brothers-in-law, Rock Power Connections has enjoyed strong, consistent growth to a team of 32 and a turnover of £1.8m in 2015. Based in Worcester, the Rock team have gained a reputation for delivering new connections to the electricity distribution network with first class service, nationwide.
Being shortlisted for “Small Business of the Year” recognises how Rock Power Connections has been innovative and agile to attain its ambitious growth targets.
Finance Director, Matt said: “We are really proud to have built a solid business with an established reputation for quality, an impeccable Health & Safety record and a growth trajectory which continues to outperform the business targets.”
Founded on the core principle of nurturing growth through an engaged workforce, the company now boasts a team of 21 motivated, electrical engineers who have progressed through a robust training programme.
By ensuring each team member is multi-skilled, the Rock team gains efficiencies in delivery flexibility in resourcing across multiple substation sites and continually perform to the highest quality. This strategy is fundamental to the company's success.
Operations Director, Reece added: “After being named ‘Runner’s Up for People Development’ at the British Chamber of Commerce Awards last November, it is a great honour to be shortlisted for another award.

The winner will be announced on the 9th June at the Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce’s Awards Dinner. Until then, the team at Rock Power Connections all have their fingers (but not their wires) crossed!
