Two years of hard work and dedication has paid off for Worcester’s Rock Power Connections, as it celebrates being named ‘Most Promising New Business’ at last night’s Hereford & Worcester Chamber of Commerce Awards.
The electrical engineering company, specialising in connections and upgrades, was awarded the accolade in recognition of the company’s consistent high-quality performance and its promising platform for further growth as a leading Independent Connections Provider.

Local man, Jon Dear, is about to embark on the challenge of his life: cycling unsupported through four countries (England, France, Spain and Portugal) in aid of two cancer charities: ‘Leukemia and Lymphoma Research’ and the ‘Pituitary Foundation’. The 2,000 mile cycle ride will begin on July 6th and is set to last until August 1st when he is expected to reach his final destination of the Algarve, Portugal.
Jon was inspired to take on the herculean cycle ride after hearing his long-term friend, had been diagnosed with Lymphoma – a cancer of the blood. Jon is hoping to raise £10,000 for the two charities that have supported him.
