Case study

Patchway Bristol

Electrical Utilities / HV & LV Supplies for two large industrial estates.

The overview of the challenge:

To install 2 side by side 11KV package substations to feed a hospital building and a large warehouse facility in Patchway, Bristol.

Despite a challenging deadline, the team managed pull out all the stops and the connection took place on time. One of the key successes being sourcing the HV cable far earlier than standard industry lead times due to a close relationship with our supply chain and collaborative internal PM (Project Management) structure.

Our Approach:

As always, our approach is simple and effective, however with this project, it was even more imperative to get the connection live and on-time.

We worked closely with the client’s developer and visited the site several times, to ensure works were completed to the required standard.

The Result:

A very satisfied client with the project being completed to a high standard and ahead of schedule.

“Every project can be challenging, due to a variety of matters. This project was one of the most challenging I have ever completed due issues with on-site cable routes and space within the building, however we worked hard to overcome the challenges and produced a high-quality outcome for a long-term client”

Darren Huxley, Project Manager, Rock Power Connections.
