Case study

Newberry

The Overview

The project was to install a new 2MW HV supply to a new factory.

The Challenge

The nearest HV supply that Rock could connect to was 750m away along a bypass. Rock worked with the local authority to gain permission to excavate the route. Rock liaised with the clients onsite contractors to construct the substation plinth and onsite trenches.

Our Approach

Rock worked with the local authority and agreed to work between certain times of the day and even stopped works for two weeks to enable other utility works to be carried out as requested. Traffic management was manned at all times to keep traffic flowing so there was minimal disruption.

The Result

The client had his new supply on the date requested. The local community and local authority were happy with the works Rock provided.

“The project was completed, with client receiving his new supply on time as requested. “
