Highbullen Hotel

Case study

Highbullen Hotel – Cabin installation

The challenge

The site was split into two separate sections. The lower section was on a steep slope, and after experiencing bad weather, this caused many issues, including landslides and excess water seeping through the ground. To combat this challenge, the on-site civils team excavated the trench and Rock worked alongside them to install the extensive LV network of cables.

The upper area of site also required an extensive LV network installing back to a Rock installed package sub-station, the Rock team worked hard through challenging weather conditions to complete a great job.

Our Approach

The RPC team worked closely with the onsite team and client to overcome many challenges, including completion dates that where set by the client, for holidaymakers to enjoy the new luxury rental cabins.

The Result

The clients’ expectations were managed effectively and great result was achieved within the time restraints and delays with HV able and LV panels.

“This was a challenging, remote site on the side of a hill in North Devon, working in conjunction with the Clients civils team and the regional Distribution Network Operator (DNO). The whole team completed the project, despite testing times and achieved a great result.”
