Aldi Broadway Green – Connection to Superstore

To install a LV (Low Voltage) supply for an Aldi Superstore in Oldham, along a newly constructed road and site.

The overview of the challenge:

We faced a challenging scenario connecting the Aldi store to the electrical network, compounded by a delayed project issuance and stringent council demands on roadway and pathway reinstatement, plus the deadline of the store opening, this was further complicated by having two IDNOs to deal with.

Our Approach:

Despite these hurdles, our dedicated team persevered and achieved an impressive feat, completing the store connection within an expedited five-week timeframe getting this online ahead of what was thought possible. This rapid turnaround showcases our commitment to delivering high-quality results for our valued client, Aldi.

The Result:

We managed the Clients expectations effectively despite the delayed start and the council were onboard with the reinstatement of the footways and the we worked with the client’s electrician to get this energised early in the morning and the generator disconnected before the store was open.

“This was an Aldi ran construction site and we were working for Fusion to install supply to feed the store equipment to be adopted by Last Mile on an ESPE network. “
